Wailoa Art Show, March, 2002



President's Challenge (wall location 3)
The President's Challenge is a challenge for turners to work outside of their normal work patterns and collaborate on an object. The rules for this President's Challenge were:
  • The object will be a Vase (IE: Not a Bowl).
  • The vase must contain three Pukas (holes) in addition to the normal one at the top.
  • The vase must be made of at least three laminations.
  • The vase must fit in a box of 1 cubic foot volume.
  • Each object must be made by a team.
  • The object will be donated to the Club.
  • Each Team will consist of two or three people.
Each entry below will show a small thumbnail image, followed by the Catalog Number in the show and the Artists. The next line will indicate the wood used in the object, it's size and price indicated in the Show Catalog.
